This website collects and uses personal information for the following reasons:

2.1 Site visitation tracking

Like most websites, this site uses Google Analytics to track user interaction. We use this data to determine the number of people using our site, to better understand how they find and use our web pages and to see their journey through the website.

Although Google Analytics records data such as your geographical location, device, internet browser and operating system, none of this information personally identifies you to us. Google Analytics also records your computer’s IP address which could be used to personally identify you but Google do not grant us access to this. We consider Google to be a third party data processor (see Section 5 below).

Google Analytics makes use of cookies, details of which can be found on Google’s developer guides.

Disabling cookies on your internet browser will stop Google Analytics from tracking any part of your visit to pages within this website.

2.2 Contact forms and email links

Should you choose to contact us using the contact form on our Contact page or an email link like this one, none of the data that you supply will be stored by this website or passed to / be processed by any of the third party data processors defined in section 5. Instead, the data will be collated into an email and sent to us over the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP). Our SMTP servers are managed and protected by Microsoft with built-in defenses against viruses, spam, and phishing attacks. These ensure the data is transferred to us as securely as possible.

2.3 Email newsletter

If you choose to join our email newsletter, the email address that you submit to us will be forwarded to MailChimp who provide us with email marketing services. We consider MailChimp to be a third party data processor (see section 5 below). The email address that you submit will not be stored within this website’s own database or in any of our internal computer systems.

Your email address will remain within MailChimp’s database for as long as we continue to use MailChimp’s services for email marketing or until you specifically request removal from the list. You can do this by unsubscribing using the unsubscribe links contained in any email newsletters that we send you or by requesting removal via email. When requesting removal via email, please send your email to us using the email account that is subscribed to the mailing list. Please note that it can take time for the unsubscribe to process and you may receive more email before it completes the process, if you have any concerns it has not worked then please contact us so we can manually process your request to ensure it is removed completely.

If you are under 16 years of age you MUST obtain parental consent before joining our email newsletter.While your email address remains within the MailChimp database, you will receive periodic newsletter-style emails from us.


Section 3:


As mentioned in 2.1 above we do not hold any personal information on this web site.

We store booking information via OpenTable’s secure application and this will include the details of the Guest performing the booking and any relevant information about the guests (such as allergies), we have provided a link to their policy above.

When you chose to sign up for our email newsletter via the MailChimp service the details you entered are stored on their secured systems, we have provided a link to their policy above. n.b. All messages contain an “unsubscribe” link.

When you purchase a Gift Certificate we take the details of the person making the purchase and the recipient, these are kept in a secure location on our system and are only used to provide accurate tracking of the transaction and usage.


Section 4:


This website is hosted by Hosting UK within UK based data centres which are physically secured and have resilient power and data connectivity.

Hosting UK completely comply with all UK legislation (and current EU) regarding Data protection and security.

Hosting UK are part of a larger UK plc – iomart, and as such have accreditations under their group identity, including those for Data Security .

All traffic (transferral of files) between this website and your browser is encrypted and delivered over HTTPS.


Section 5:


We use a number of third parties to process personal data on our behalf. These third parties have been carefully chosen and all of them comply with the legislation set out in Section 1. Some of these third parties are based in the USA and are EU-U.S Privacy Shield compliant.


Section 6:


We will report any unlawful data breach of this website’s database or the database(s) of any of our third party data processors to any and all relevant persons and authorities within 72 hours of the breach if it is apparent that personal data stored in an identifiable manner has been stolen.

We consider the use of CCTV a necessary tool to help reduce crime, reduce the fear of crime and improve the safety of our customers and staff.

We have installed CCTV systems for the purposes of customer & staff safety and crime prevention & detection

We will only disclose CCTV images to others who intend to use the images for the purposes stated above. CCTV images will not be released to the media for entertainment purposes or placed on the internet.

Images captured by CCTV will not be kept for longer than 30 days. However, on occasion, there may be a need to keep images for longer, for example where a crime is being investigated.

You have the right to see CCTV images of yourself and be provided with a copy of the images. Please contact Mr. Daniel Crump as detailled in section 8 above.

This privacy policy may change from time to time in line with legislation or industry developments. We will not explicitly inform our clients or website users of these changes. Instead, we recommend that you check this page occasionally for any policy changes. Specific policy changes and updates are mentioned in the change log below.
